Trek: Natural History of Local Trees

It was a fascinating Trek. Did you know that the black walnut tree wood played a critical role in the US victory in the Battle of Plattsburgh? (That's a black walnut just behind the fence.) And what about the role that white pine trees played in the revolution after the King claimed ownership of all white pine trees?

Thanks to Dr. Burgess and all who attended. We'll be doing a Photo Trek in October, and, over the winter, another discussion of natural history and plants.
