New York Invasive Species Awareness Week is July 9-15, why not finish out that week with Zach Simek of the Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program and Saranac River Trail?

Zach will point out the plants and insects to be on the lookout for while you're enjoying the trail. He will let you know the problems these species pose to our area and show us what we can do to help!

Zachary Simek is the Terrestrial Invasive Species Project Coordinator for the Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program (APIPP). In his role, he coordinates terrestrial invasive species surveying, management, and outreach efforts across the Adirondack Park. He is a 2013 graduate of Paul Smith’s College and currently resides in Lake Placid where he enjoys hiking, fishing, and all things outdoors.
