Invasion Along Saranac River Trail - July 23, 2016 - 9 AM

Do you know how to identify invaders?  Join the Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program (APIPP) for an invasive species trek along Saranac River Trail. Learn about invasive plants and insects currently invading or approaching the region. This trek will discuss how to identify these harmful invaders, their potential impacts, and what you can do to help!

Trek leader: Zachary Simek is the Terrestrial Invasive Species Project Coordinator for the Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program (APIPP). In his role, he coordinates terrestrial invasive species surveying, management, and outreach efforts across the Adirondack Park. He is a 2013 graduate of Paul Smith’s College and currently resides in Lake Placid where he enjoys hiking, fishing, and all things outdoors.
