Fall Treks

Hi Everyone!

We wanted to offer you all two last Treks before our 2017 season officially comes to a close. We hope to see you!

History of Local Trees

Saturday, September 23rd, 2017 at 10am

Meet on George Angell Drive by the trail sign for Saranac River Trail

We will explore the natural history of the common trees found along the Saranac River Trail. Participants will also learn the identifying features of each tree species. The walk will be led by Dr. Michael B. Burgess, Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences, and Botanist at Plattsburgh State University.

Photo Trek with Penny and Ron

Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 10am

Meet on Steltzer Ave, on the section of Saranac River Trail that Runs along Riverside Cemetery

Our two favorite local photographers are back for another Photo Trek! This trek focuses on helping you explore the world through your camera's lens. They will talk to you about their approaches to their art, and then help you with the technical aspects of taking photos. Bring your camera, or even your smart phone! This Trek is always a great way to meet other local photography enthusiasts.

We hope you were able to make it out to any of our Treks, Talks, or Tasks this season and we thank you for your continued support. As always if you have any questions or feedback please contact us!
