Broad Street Parking Lot to Pine Street/Police Station, Stafford Middle School
From the Broad Street Parking lot the paved Trail leads to a pedestrian bridge across the river at a bend in the river. Listen to the river as it rushes by and note the variety of trees along the banks. This segment of the Trail leads you to Saranac Street where you find another pedestrian bridge crossing the river. The Max Moore Memorial Treehouse (with additional parking) is located at the end of this bridge at Pine Street by the Police Station and across Pine Street from Stafford Middle School.
Alternatively, from the Broad Street Parking lot, follow Durkee street to the four story office building and main Durkee Street parking lot in the center of the City. There you'll find the downtown district including North Country Food Coop, Betty Little Art Park and Strand Performing Arts Center.
